I experience the same problem (that is, clip plays for 1-3 minutes but then RealPlayer complains
about a connection timeout) with for instance Deutsche Welle Nachrichten:

(but really any streaming audio)

The problem is present in

RealPlayer-10.1.0.2797-20070201

both under Gnome and KDE.

but I did not experience it in

RealPlayer-10.1.0.2563-20061128
