[hxplay] site doc updates
Nicholas Hart nhart at real.comThere's still a lot of work to do, but I've made some updates to the site this afternoon. I've posted a more comprehensive architecture doc that attempts to explain the various layers of the player and how they interact. There still needs to be a bunch of work done on this, but it's a start and if anyone has questions they can post them to this email list. https://player.helixcommunity.org/2003/draft/arch.html Also, we've set up a place to check in statements of design (SODs) for developers to explain complicated features/problems and their proposed solutions. These docs are intended to help with product maintenance and also spur discussion about implementation. Ryan has already begun checking in some SODs for some of the features he's working on. https://player.helixcommunity.org/2003/sods/ I'd like other developers to write up a SOD (using the template provided) for any complex features they are adding to the product. You should also try your best to link to these SODs from the appropriate section of the main architecture document, so this information can be easily cross-referenced. https://player.helixcommunity.org/2003/sods/template.html Suggestions and corrections are always welcome.
