We are pleased to announce the release of Helix Player 1.0.2 and 
RealPlayer 10.0.2! This is an incremental update with a goal towards 
improving the user experience on KDE desktops. We are also delighted to 
announce the addition to this release two new languages - Polish and Hindi.

Here is what is fixed in this release:

    * mimelnk support - the player will now configure kde mime types
    * gtk-qt theme engine fixes ensure the letter box surrounding the
      video window appears black
    * Icons in the favorites menu make some qt-based themes look better
    * Fullscreen support in versions of kde which predate
      freedesktop.org standards

We would like to thank Marcin Garski and Dhananjaya Sharma for their 
contributions towards localizing the player in Polish and Hindi 
respectively.

We are also very pleased to announce the availability of release 
candidate builds 
<https://player.helixcommunity.org/2004/downloads/distributionbuilds.html> 
for partner distributions (Linspire, Novell Linux Desktop, Suse, RedHat, 
TurboLinux and Xandros builds are available). Feel free to give them a 
whirl and help make the player work perfectly on your favorite 
distribution. All these partners have signed on to help create the best 
possible multimedia experience for their users and are on their way to 
qualifying and shipping the player with their upcoming releases. Do 
remember that most of these builds are optimized to work best with 
upcoming versions of your favorite distro.
