The same problem still appears. This happens only when the diagnostics option is selected, i.e. after 
selection of Diagnostics, no filtering occurs upon deselection of other message options.

Moreover the following behaviour is observed:
Steps to Repeat:
 a) Launch the GUI Application.
 b) In the Log Viewer select Error, Warning and Informational as the logging categories.
 c) Run an Encode.
 d) After encoding selct the diagnostic option in the log Viewer.
 
Expected Result:
 No additional messages should appear in the Log Viewer when diagnostic is selected after the encode.

Actual Result:
 Messages logged in the log viewer are duplicated when Diagnostic option is selected.
