Helix Bug Tracker admin at helixcommunity.orghttps://bugs.helixcommunity.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4255 Summary: firefox-realplayer-helix no video. no error messages. audio works fine. fc4test3 Project: helix-client Version: HelixPlayer-1.0.4.752-20050401 Hardware: PC Operating System: Other (Specify) Status: NEW Keywords: no-video selinux Severity: S2 Priority: P2 Tracker: Bugs AssignedTo: PGM ReportedBy: rbh00 CC: ,helix-client-listuser-777886ee-d779-4f86-9e75-703d3ddfd 01d,weizm-listuser-2dc8c124-b89b-11d8-9f33-00d0b7075c1c When I try to play a stream of realplayer, the stream plays fine but no video appears. The realplayer window immediately shrinks to no-video size; Control-F yields a full screen with the RealPlayer logo in the middle, black otherwise. But no error message appears, and the audio portion of the program works just fine. This is a newly installed fedora core 4 test 3 system. I insured that both realplayer and helix were at the same level: HelixPlayer-1.0.4.752-20050401 RealPlayer-10.0.4.750-20050401 The problem is fixed by changing /etc/selinux/config so that SELINUX=Disabled and rebooting. The previous setting was SELINUX=Enforcing. I was put onto this possibility by messages in /var/log/messages I thought were related. Here is one such message, though its content doesn't seem related at all: kernel: audit(1116138482.387:0): avc: denied { getattr } for path=/home/rbh00/Desktop/FC4-test3-src-i386/FC4-test3-i386-SRPMS-disc1.iso dev=dm-0 ino=6438915 scontext=system_u:system_r:fsadm_t tcontext=user_u:object_r:user_home_t tclass=file -- ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
