Hi Ding

Please mail to helix-client-dev at helixcommunity.org, that¡¯s the best place for help. The others can help you there. If you have
questions about real audio or real video codec, you can send mail to rarvcode-audio-dev at helixcommunity.org or
rarvcode-video-dev at helixcommunity.org.

SYSTEM_ID=linux-2.2-libc6-iwmmxt-xscale or linux-2.2-libc6-armv5te-cross-gcc4.1-iwmmxt-softfloat or
linux-2.2-libc6-armv5te-cross-gcc3.3-iwmmxt-softfloat

You can choose one of the above as your SYSTEM_ID. I recommend you to investigate the related cf files in ribosome/build/umakecf to
decide which is the best for you.

BIF branch: hxclient_3_1_0_atlas_restricted

Target: splay (if you are porting a player) or real audio/video codec targets (if you are focusing on codec only)

Profile: helix-client-mobile-ezx

https://helix-client.helixcommunity.org/2004/branches is up-to-date. Atlas310 is stable and suitable for most platforms. Please
don¡¯t use HEAD, it may not be stable.

Once you download the source code, you can get the latest ARM-optimized Real codec.

Best regards

Subject: Helix src code download issue

Hi Jun

This is Ke Ding from Marvell Corp. We have signed a license agreement recently with Real and can access the restricted code to do
real codec optimization on embedded processors (ARM, XScale). I got your email from the Helix mail list, hope you can give me some
guideline for the src code downloading from the Helix CVS server.

We want to do Realplayer porting and optimization for XScale/ARM Linux platform. Which is the best branch/target/profile I should
get from the server? I hope we can at least get the ARM-optimized Real codecs in src code, i.e. Real audio, Real video. Then we can
do further WMMX optimization based on it.

How to set below values during downloading?

SYSTEM_ID = ??

[0] Set BIF branch (??)

[1] Set Target(s) (??)

[2] Set Profile (??)

BTW, since you have so many branch/profiles for various CPU/Platform. Do you have document to describe each branch/profiles and the
latest developing status? Where can I get these support and information? The branch description on the webpage
(https://helix-client.helixcommunity.org/2004/branches) seems to be out-of-date. XScale Linux is first priority. We may also have to
do XScale/WinCE/WinMobile porting and optimization later.

Thanks

Ke
