The quickstart guide:

https://common.helixcommunity.org/2002/devdocs/quickstart

like a lot of the documentation needs updates and reorganization.

To facilitate work on documentation, a new project has been created
called "Wideopen". Wideopen is an interesting experiment in
that every licensee (RPSL & RCSL) will have commit access
to the project's CVS repository. This means that almost every
member of the community will be able check in and update documents.

Adding to the experimental nature of this project, I've enabled a
forum for people to discuss ongoing work within wideopen.
The only mailing lists that are enabled are "cvs at wideopen"
and "issues at wideopen" which are used for automated notification
of CVS/IssueZilla events. I've been looking for an opportunity to use
a forum on helixcommunity.org in a way that wouldn't distract from
already up & running mailing lists. If the forum works out, great, otherwise
we'll switch back to mailing lists like the other projects.

Everyone should feel free to check in other documents that need
work (and hopefully make some of the changes). If you do, please
don't forget to update siteindex.html (also accessible via CVS, in the
wideopen/www directory) so that people will be able to tell at a glance
which documents are currently being worked on.

Lastly, this is an experiment and we may need to adjust things
or dismantle the project entirely depending on how it goes. Please
let me know what you think by emailing me (duncanh at real.com) or
feedback at helixcommunity.org.

Thanks very much,
