The only thing else I can think of is to delete your
prefs file (which should be in $HOME/.helix, I think).
It could be that the prefs are messed up.

Also, I spoke to folks internally about making the
PCM renderer public, and they were completely behind
it. So hopefully it will go public within the next
week, and this problem will be moot.
