I just tried to play an mpeg4 file and the results were a miserable
failure.  First of all let me state that the file itself was encoded by
envivio and I have played it back on various mp4 platforms, from Windows
Media to Sigma chip-based platforms and it always plays back.  It is a
.mp4 file and not a .wav file with an mpeg4 codec.

When playback is attempted in my gui player, the time of the clip is
properly displayed but playback halt immediately (OnEndClip I believe).

When I attempt to play the clip on the binary (dev4) release of splay I
get a segment fault.

Has anyone here successfully played mpeg4 files in linux?
